Computer And Technologies Group (Computer And Technologies Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries, hereinafter referred to as “the Group”, “C&T”, “we”, "us" and "our") values the privacy of your personal data and this statement (hereinafter referred to as “the Statement”), pursuant to the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong), explains our policies and practices of handling your personal data when you apply for job vacancies at C&T and in our recruitment process considering your application.
The provision of personal data is mandatory when you apply for job vacancies at C&T and in our recruitment process considering your application. If you fail to provide the necessary information, we may be unable to consider your application.
We may collect and use your personal data for one or more of the following purposes:
assessing your suitability for employment; entering into an employment contract with you; fulfilling our legitimate interests as a recruiter and employer; complying with laws, regulations or codes of practice in or outside Hong Kong; any other ancillary purposes directly related to the purposes listed above.

applicant referrals;
past employers;
employment background check service providers;

other publicly available information.
We may collect the following types of data about you:
personal particulars, such as your full name, Hong Kong identity card number or travel document number, correspondence address and/or residential address, telephone number and email address;
education and employment history;
past and expected salary;
any other information relevant to our consideration of your application.
Personal data collected by C&T for recruitment purposes will be kept confidential and will be made available only for persons related to the recruitment process, including relevant staff members of our Human Resources Department, hiring managers and/or their delegates, service providers who assist C&T to handle recruitment related matters.
Where permitted by applicable local laws, C&T may also disclose the personal data to one or more of the following third parties (in or outside Hong Kong) in the following situations:
any companies, authorized agents or service providers fulfilling contractual obligations on behalf of C&T;
any other person under a duty of confidentiality to C&T who has undertaken to keep such information confidential;
any person to whom C&T is obligated or required to make disclosure under any applicable law or under any order or guidance given or issued by any court, legal, regulatory, governmental, law enforcement or other authorities;
any actual or proposed buyers of all or part of the business of C&T, or buyers of C&T in the case of any merger or acquisition.
We will not disclose or transfer the personal data to any third party not specified above without your expressed consent.
Successful applicants’ personal data collected during the recruitment process will become part of their personnel records and will be used for employment purposes. After an application for employment is successful, the personal data about the successful applicant may also be retained during the period of their employment with C&T.
All personal data collected from unsuccessful applicants will be destroyed as soon as possible within two years after completion of the relevant recruitment exercises for future recruitment purposes. In case there are suitable vacancies for an applicant, the personal data retention period may go beyond two years with the prescribed consent from the applicant.
The Statement may be amended from time to time. You should and are recommended to access and obtain a latest version of the Statement at careers.ctil.com to understand the way we collect and use the personal data from time to time.
Through the recruitment process, you should acknowledge the collection and use of your personal data by us as outlined in the Statement. If you do not agree with the use of your personal data as mentioned in the Statement, please do not apply for any job vacancy from C&T.
